Hello!

I'm writing this from my home on top of a sunny hill in Sheffield, down in
the People's Republic of South Yorkshire. I'm still a bit dazed after a
weekend of dancing and partying at the Leicester Fest Noz but I'm looking
forward to another session of Les Panards this Thursday evening. We'll all
be in a good mood as England will have bounced back from their defeat at the
hands of the French last night and thrashed Switzerland. (Gwenaelle seems to
have turned French for the moment - I look forward to reminding her she's
really Swiss on Thursday night). ;-)

Steve will be off learning new tunes in France but Geoff will be along to
play some more magical numbers for us, along with our increasingly talented
set of regular musicians.

And very importantly we'll be having our brief Annual General Meeting (AGM)
during the break - it will only take about 30 mins and will give us a chance
to update you on how the finances are looking and make plans for next year,
and this is where you come in. We could really do with one or two extra
committee members for the year ahead to support and keep up the good work of
our current committee (Jane, Janet and Yannick). If you would be willing to
volunteer a bit of time to the running of the group then we'd be very
grateful - It involves committee meetings about once a month (more in the
lead-up to special events) and as much or as little commitment as you're
happy to make outside of that. There's no money in it I'm afraid - none of
us get paid for our time, but it's a very rewarding activity and good fun.
Please contact me if you'd like more info or want to volunteer, or just turn
up and have a word with us on Thursday.

Many thanks and see you then

Graham
