[Panards-dansants] LPD at Holmfirth Folk Festival - this evening

Dear All
For those of you who are intending to come to Holmfirth Folk Festival this
weekend, I just wanted to let you know that Les Panards Dansants are helping
to organise a "French Cafe event" where we will demonstrate some French &
Breton dances, followed by a Bal.  Dalzaina (the group that Graham plays in)
will provide the music - they're great to dance to and it should be a good
night.
You'll be able to find us in the "Small Civic" (which I believe is upstairs
at the Civic Centre - in the middle of Holmfirth - car park opposite) and
we're commencing at 8.30 pm.  Hope to see you there.

Further Dates for your Diary (whilst I'm here):

Saturday 15 May - Day of Dance - LPD are running a dance workshop at 17.00
at Saltaire Methodist Church- if anyone would like to come and help
demonstrate etc. you'd be most welcome - as would musicians (see separate
email from Paul).

Sunday 4 July - Leeds Street Music Festival 9.45 - 11.0 Room 2, Leeds
University Union Building - again if anyone is free to come and give us a
hand, it would be much appreciated.  Musicians also needed for this one -
same repertoire as Day of Dance.

Friday 17 September - Otley Black Sheep Festival
Once again, we'll be running a cafe style dance evening and the musicians
will be Red Dog Green Dog.  If you haven't yet heard them, you're in for a
treat - great, funky music - wonderful to dance to - I can highly recommend
them.  Last time we had a similar event at the Otley Festival we were well
supported by our members and it was a great night - so do try and make this
one.  More details of Otley venue etc later.

Saturday 9 October - our annual LPD Event when we will be dancing to The Eel
Grinders and Gars du Nord (Steve and Geoff)
We're working on this at the moment - more details later - but keep the date
free!

regular monthly meetings at Headingley Parish Hall of course (3rd Thursday
of the month).  Musicians meet at the White Stag, Whitelock Street, Leeds 7,
4th Monday of the month (please let us know if you'd like directions).
