C'est le joli mois de mai, et qu'est-ce que c'est joli!
And on this lovely May Tuesday I'd like to remind you that we have another
great evening of French dance coming up this week. Steve & Geoff will be
there and we'll have the usual mix of music, song and dance.
Oh and we're looking for a new pub for the music session (Dancing stays in
the same place - Headingley Parish Hall). We would prefer a pub in or near
Headingley, with a back room and not too many students- any ideas? If
anyone would like to join us, please could they phone Paul Siddall on
0113-2758991 (or Jane on 01943-463804) first to check venue.

For a list of UK French music and dance events, take a look at
http://www.frenchdanceleeds.co.uk/frenchdiaryuk.html a few highlights
include:
The next Kinnersley Castle event is next weekend (bank holiday weekend).
It's probably the best place in the world to dance a mazurka, so I highly
recommend it. www.made.fsnet.co.uk
The Blowout Bagpipe Festival - lots of dancing too -Great Linford, Milton
Keynes, 4th to 6th June www.bagpipesociety.org.uk
Then the Fest Noz in Leicester on the 11th and 12th of June. Not as Breton
as before but for fans of Celtic and world music it should be excellent

Not to mention the Gower festival that same weekend - A festival every
weekend - it must be summer again!
