Also, we received this note from the northeast:
Bad news I'm afraid. Just after I sent out the advance notice of the
Euroceilidh on April 22nd, we realised that that was the date for the
concerts at The Sage to commemorate and celebrate the work of Keith
Morris, who died, tragically, as a result of a hit and run accident in
June 2005. As a large number of people who normally attend the
Euroceilidhs, as well as one our callers, are either performing, or
wish to attend these concerts, we realised that it was not feasible to
do the Euroceilidh on April 22nd.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to find an alternative date when
the band, the callers and a suitable hall are all available at the
same time until well into the summer, when people tend to be involved
in other things. Sadly, we've decided that we'll have to cancel this
one.

My apologies for any disappointment and we hope people will enjoy the
concerts at The Sage celebrating the life of a much-loved local
musician whose death is a sad loss to the region.

We have now fixed the date for our Autumn Euroceilidh, so for REALLY
advance notice, you may want to note November 11th in your diaries-
same formula- Dansons!, Elaine and Richard, Rowlands Gill, fantastic
dances, great night! We are also hoping to fix up another Berwick upon
Tweed event around September/Ocotober for those of us from more
Northerly climes, and people brave enough to venture this far.
