Les Panards Dansants – News update August 2007

For those of us who have already had our “summer” holiday, here are a few 
events to look forward to over the coming months.

Festival des Panards: Otley 12-14 October 2007

The line up for this year’s festival is now complete. It looks like being 
the best one yet. We’re already getting lots of interest in the bals and, as 
before, there is likely to be great demand for the workshops. Details are 
attached and also available at www.frenchdanceleeds.co.uk .

Of course, our success is also based on the excellent support we get from 
volunteers, who act as stewards, provide accommodation and a host of other 
things. If you are able to help this year, please let me know (at 
r_walshaw at hotmail.com , leave a message for me on 01924 471831 or mention it 
at the September session) and I’ll make sure the stewarding coordinator 
contacts you.

Regular Panards monthly sessions

Les Panards’ regular monthly dance session in Headingley will be taking a 
summer break in August and return, relaxed and tanned, on Thursday 20 
September.

Come along and brush up your steps in preparation for the Festival and 
possibly learn some new ones. Toni has promised to teach us some she 
recently learned at a festival in France (sorry Toni)! If you’ve learned 
some new dances yourself then why not follow her lead and show us all how 
it’s done.

We’ll also be holding the AGM (held over from June).

Other Events

Haworth Arts Festival: 31 August to 2 September - (Les Panards will be 
hosting a session on Sunday 2 September at Parkside, from 3-5 pm). For full

Day of Dance: Saltaire 6 October - (Yannick, supported by Les Panards, will 
be hosting two sessions – further details to follow)
