Dear all, What better way to shake off the April showers than a little session of French music and dance? Les Panards Dansants' next get together will be on Thursday 17 April.  Musicians are dancers are all warmly welcome. 
 We’ll be meeting as usual from 8 pm onwards at St Michael’s Church Hall, St Michael's Road, Headingley  LS6 3AW

We look forward to seeing you there.

And don't forget the informal music sessions on the first Thursday of every month in the Chemic pub, 9 Johnson Street, Woodhouse, Leeds LS6 2NG.

The next “Day of Dance” will be held in Saltaire on Saturday 10th May. The programme is now available.  

HURDY-GURDY FESTIVAL To all fans of the Hurdy-gurdy and French dance music..... The 2nd UK Hurdy-gurdy Festival takes place in Lancaster in 25-27th April 2008. There are less than three weeks to go to the festival and this is the last week of the cheap(ish) weekend ticket price. As well as a full programme of 'gurdy tuition, we have an exciting program of concerts and dances featuring music from England, France, Hungary, Sweden, the Balkans and more with sounds from the Baroque and Medieval through to Folkadelic improv! The weekend includes French dancing with Red Dog Green Dog (Saturday night) and Cyser (Saturday lunchtime), and French dance workshops with Cathy Goss. Also featured are Steve Tyler, Cliff Stapleton, Nuada, Drohne and much more. All instrumentalists can join the massed 'gurdies for the "Grand Orchestre de Lancaster" to play some rousing bourreés and schottisches in the closing concert on Sunday pm. The first SCANDIMOOT (which has evolved from the annual Yorkshire Dales Workshops Scandinavian Festivals) is taking place at the Dalesbridge Centre, near Settle in the Yorkshire Dales between 9 - 11 May 2008.
